Columbus, OH: March 11, 2019 — WoundWiseIQ took top honors in the Society Shark Tank competition, a highlight of the 2019 Annual Conference of The Society for Post-Acute and Long-term Care Medicine (an affiliate of the American Medical Directors Association, AMDA, dedicated to long-term care) held in Atlanta, GA.
“We are excited and honored by this recognition from hundreds of medical professionals—exactly the people our wound imaging and software application was designed and developed to serve,” said Gary Ross, WoundWiseIQ CEO.
WoundWiseIQ advanced through the competition to among 15 semi-finalists and ultimately 4 finalists to win the final round of judging with a live audience vote in Atlanta.
The win put the spotlight on WoundWise IQ and underscored its long term viability and value to the medical community. “After our presentation, numerous medical practitioners and facilities administrators visited our booth to meet us and to learn more about how our wound imaging app can help them better care for patients,” Ross said.
WoundWiseIQ offers a mobile imaging and analytics software application that streamlines and automatically documents wounds. In clinical testing, the solution captured wound data four times faster and with 96 percent accuracy compared to traditional and more expensive camera methods. The product is FDA registered and has a patented approach to finding the actual surface area and tissue characteristics of a wound.
The Society Shark Tank competition is a highly coveted opportunity for technology innovators to pitch their solutions to the largest national audience of post-acute and long-term care (PALTC) practitioners. WoundWiseIQ’s Audience Award was uniquely determined by a live vote at the competition.
