NEWS RELEASE
Columbus, OH: February 25, 2019 — WoundWiseIQ is a “final four” finalist of the Society Shark Tank competition, a unique and highly coveted opportunity for technology innovators to pitch their solutions to the largest national audience of post-acute and long-term care (PALTC) practitioners. WoundWiseIQ was chosen from 15 semi-finalists and dozens of nominees.
WoundWiseIQ offers a mobile imaging and analytics software application that streamlines and automatically documents chronic wounds. In clinical testing, the solution has captured wound data four times faster and with 96% accuracy compared to traditional and more expensive camera methods. The product is FDA registered and has a patented approach to finding the actual surface area and tissue color of a wound.
“We are excited to present our wound imaging and software application to this industry audience and medical practitioners,” said Gary Ross, WoundWiseIQ CEO. “We look forward to sharing our innovations and ideas, and especially welcome ideas and feedback from professionals who are involved in post-acute and long-term patient care every day.”
Modeled after the popular television show where individuals present their business ideas and models to a panel of successful entrepreneurs, the final Shark Tank competition takes place March 7 from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at the 2019 Annual Conference of The Society for Post-Acute and Long-term Care Medicine (an affiliate of the American Medical Directors Association, AMDA, dedicated to long-term care).
The Audience Award is determined by a live vote at following the competition, and the Judge’s Award will be announced the following day during the Opening General Session of the conference.
WoundWiseIQ will demonstrate the company’s solution in the Innovation Pavilion, Booth IP3, at the conference.
